The Business, Sustainability and Compliance Team is looking for a graduate intern to support key work in ensuring environmental and health and safety compliance, driving continual improvement and delivering key sustainability communications to both internal and external stakeholders.

The role will include a range of responsibilities which will give you valuable experience as you work alongside different teams and individuals across the department and wider university. The purpose of the role is to provide support for the Business, Sustainability and Compliance Team in delivering compliance with legislation and management systems as well as communicating key sustainability messages and successes with the wider university, student body and key stakeholders. Specific tasks associated with the role include undertaking audits, data gathering and analysis, use of various communications methods including social media and development and delivery of projects.

This internship offers a great opportunity to build on the skills and attributes you have already acquired during your time here as a student, and apply any theoretically knowledge into a real world environment. Management Systems are becoming more common across industry and used to manage a range of risks from health and safety and environmental to quality and energy, through hands on experience working with the university's systems you will develop desirable transferable skills relevant across multiple industries.

You will have an understanding of Microsoft Office programmes, especially Excel, be able to understand and interpret data sets and have excellent communication skills. Some understanding of ISO management systems is also desirable.
