Salary: UH9 £49,149 to £55,297 pa with potential to progress to £58,655 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience.
FTE: Full time position working 37 hours per week (1 FTE)
Duration of Contract: Permanent
The Head of Equality will develop and drive the implementation of the University’s equality, diversity and inclusion strategy and policy, ensuring the University’s policy and practice fully reflects the organisation’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. The post holder will also lead and manage the Equality Office to ensure it provides specialist advice and guidance on all aspects of equality, diversity and inclusion.

The post holder will work closely with the Secretary and Registrar, Deputy Secretary and Registrar, the Head of Human Resources and the Dean of Students. He/she will be expected to engage internally and externally with senior level management.
The post holder will be qualified to degree level or be able to demonstrate appropriate equivalent experience. Proven substantial experience in an equality function in either a public sector or commercial environment is essential, as the ability to demonstrate existing leadership and managerial skills in an academic environment.
