Applications are invited for the position of Senior Lecturer or Reader in Accounting in the School of Management. The successful applicant will join the Accounting, Finance and Economics subject group. The Subject Group has core research strengths in Accounting and is a healthy mix of research active faculty and teaching focused staff. The Subject Group has grown strongly in recent years and will continue to do so in the future. Colleagues in the group publish regularly in top accounting journals such as Abacus, Accounting, Organizations and Society, Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, and Critical Perspectives on Accounting.

Applicants will contribute to high quality Accounting research and teaching within the group in order to consolidate and advance the School’s strong national and international standing in the Accounting area.

Applicants for Senior Lecturer or Reader are expected to be educated at doctoral level and have a strong track record of high quality research output in Accounting published in leading peer-reviewed journals or other outlets. The successful candidate would be expected to further develop this record in order to contribute to existing research within the School. Applicants would be expected to demonstrate leadership in research and teaching in the School.

In addition, experience in bidding for external funding and/or engagement in funded activity such as executive education and/or consultancy, will be given consideration in the evaluation process.
