SENIOR LECTURER IN HERITAGE
£37,705 - £42,418 PER ANNUM
The Department of History and Archaeology at its University Centre Shrewsbury campus seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Heritage. The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a teacher and researcher in Heritage.
You will have a good Honours Degree (normally 2.1 or First or equivalent) in History, Archaeology, Heritage or closely related subject and a Ph.D. in a Heritage related discipline and subject. You will have considerable HE teaching experience, a strong and versatile background to teaching Heritage and a proven capacity to deliver a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in both History and Heritage subjects.
You may have experience of supervising undergraduate dissertations on History/Heritage topics and of teaching undergraduate History in addition to Heritage. You will be able to enhance the MSc provision in Museums Practice and Sustainable Heritage Practice at University Centre Shrewsbury. You will have evidence of either publications in Heritage, or demonstrable evidence of work-in-progress towards such publications suitable for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework
