Appointment of University Secretary

The University of Worcester seeks an outstanding professional to fill the new role of University Secretary. Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, and working closely with the Chair and Board of Governors as Clerk to the Board and Company Secretary to the University‚Äôs subsidiary companies, you will be responsible for ensuring the University is governed in accordance with the highest standards of probity and transparency. You will take the lead on legal, regulatory and statutory matters, and corporate assurance and compliance. 

You will be a senior leader who is comfortable with providing insightful advice on a range of critical issues, and with leading a high-calibre service provision. You will have a deep knowledge and understanding of governance, compliance and regulation, and will be able to engage immediately with the new regulatory context for higher education. You will be highly organised, flexible and pragmatic; an excellent communicator; and with a genuine willingness to broaden your knowledge and influence. Company Secretary qualifications or equivalent, and legal experience are desirable.
