York St John University is an ambitious, modern university located in the heart of historic York. As part of the university’s ambitious development plan, it will open a new campus in London in the summer of 2018. Located in the Barbican area, the London campus will offer a range of forward-thinking Masters Degrees and will provide an opportunity for our York-based student and staff to access the opportunities afforded from a London campus presence.

Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, the London Business Relationship Placement and Sponsorship Manager will be responsible for establishing, developing and implementing the university’s external relationship and sponsorship strategy. The provision of access to credible and worthwhile industry experiences will be central to the students’ experience at the London campus. Therefore, the post-holder will be responsible for the effective development and delivery of Industrial Placement modules and the securing of sufficient, high quality placement opportunities.

Educated to at least Masters level in a business-related subject, the successful candidate will be expected to have experience in the development and delivery of Masters level modules in the area of relevant to industry experience / professional work placement. Experience of developing strong and successful relationships between the university sector and external organisations – such as businesses, charities, funding organisations is also required.
