Applications are invited for the position of Degree Apprenticeships Officer to work in a newly established Apprenticeships team within Research and Innovation at the University of Nottingham.

Development of degree apprenticeship provision is of strategic importance to the University and we have ambitious plans for a comprehensive suite of programmes across all our Faculties. Our first programmes will launch in September 2018. This is an exciting time to join the team, and the successful person will have the opportunity to shape and develop the systems, processes and infrastructure that will support the professional delivery of this important agenda. We seek a person with a sound, applied knowledge of apprenticeship administration and the external landscape, who can combine their knowledge and experience of apprenticeships with our outstanding, research-led teaching to develop a truly exceptional offer to industry.

The person will be the first point of contact for employers and apprentices on programme, and will be responsible contracting and for the accurate data collection and monthly reporting via the ILR for our first cohorts of apprentices. You will develop strong working relationships with businesses, apprentices, academics and other professional service staff across the institution to manage compliance with funding and technical rules relating to apprenticeships, and to maintain and continually improve the employer/apprentice experience.

In return, you will be supported in developing your career, allowing you to progress towards your career goals in a friendly environment. We are able to offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a generous holiday allowance and pension scheme. You will also have access to excellent sport, leisure and childcare facilities across our campuses.
The ideal candidate will be educated to HND/HNC/A level standard or equivalent, with GCSE in English and Maths, plus relevant experience OR considerable relevant experience within a similar role.

This is a permanent, full time position. Applications for job share will be accepted.

The University of Nottingham is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
