The School of Economics invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Administrative Officer, available from 1st June 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. 

Candidates with considerable experience in a responsible, busy and varied administrative role are encouraged to apply.The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on, and supporting academic staff in, enhancing engagement with UG and PGT cohorts, including being point of contact for students in relation to the student experience, leading on social/extra-curricular activities, placements, alumni and careers support.The role-holder will be the main point of contact with the University’s External Relations staff, working on UG and PGT admissions, leading on social media activity and other marketing support.

The School is a leading research and teaching department for economics in the UK and Europe, with an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research of the highest quality.The School operates in a busy but friendly and collegial environment and the team of administrative staff plays an important role in all aspects of the operation of the School.
The role-holder will be expected to participate in University Open Days held on Saturdays (normally four per annum). 

This is a full time, 36.25 hours per week, permanent position.
