The College of Nursing and Midwifery delivers teaching in the areas of Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Science and offers a range of undergraduate, honours and postgraduate programs that cater to students in pursuit of a health professional or research career.

Within the College, Technical Services plays a vital role in teaching, research and community engagement activities through the provision of high quality support to their stakeholders in the Colleges, Institutes and Centres within Higher Education. The unit manages a wide and varied range of functions including laboratory and fieldwork support, management of specialised (scientific and engineering) infrastructure, equipment and consumables and workplace health and safety, to assist staff and students to achieve their academic goals

As Technical Officer, you play a key role supporting students to learn and develop confidence and competence in practice. Your responsibilities include ensuring the clinical practice suite in Casuarina campus is equipped and maintained to provide a high-quality learning environment for the teaching and assessment of clinical skills for a wide variety of health-related courses (e.g. nursing, midwifery).

To be successful you require relevant qualifications with extensive experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience to a Bachelor’s degree level. Demonstrated clinical practice suite skills experience including maintenance of facilities and equipment, and WHS regulations is essential.
