LECTURER IN CRIMINOLOGY (0.5FTE/ 1.0FTE)

£33,518 - £36,613 PER ANNUM (PRO RATA)

The Department of Social and Political Science offers a range of taught programmes within the broad area of the Social Sciences. The Department seeks to appoint a lecturer who will contribute to teaching, learning and assessment on the Criminology programme. You will hold a PhD or be nearing completion of a PhD. You should have a thorough knowledge of theory and an ability to critically relate theory to policy and practice. 

A record of research and publication, or evidence of the potential to develop research and publication is desirable. In addition, you will demonstrate the ability to complement the existing teaching team and will be a good team player. As well as teaching experience, knowledge of both curriculum development and quality assurance procedures would be highly desirable. You are expected to play a full part in the department’s philosophy to provide an excellent experience for students which includes having a visible presence.
