PSYCHOLOGY
LECTURER/ SENIOR LECTURER IN APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY

£33,518 - £42,418 PER ANNUM

We are seeking to appoint a new Lecturer /Senior Lecturer in Psychology. We are especially keen to attract applicants working in an area of Applied Psychology. We welcome applications from Applied Psychologists who are interested in combining work in Higher Education with professional practice and who would be interested in undertaking this post as a job share.

You will join a Department which is very student-centred and is proud of a record of excellent research-informed teaching. The Department runs BPS-accredited UG degrees in Psychology and Forensic Psychology, a BPS-accredited Conversion masters, an MSc in Family and Child Psychology, an MRes degree and an IAPT programme. We expect our first intake to a new MSc Applied Psychology in October (subject to validation). We also have a thriving community of PhD students.

You will contribute fully to the academic life of this busy, friendly Department and to the University as a whole. University of Chester has a long and proud history as an institution of Higher Education. We are located on an attractive campus within walking distance of the City Centre. Chester itself is a beautiful, historic city. Its location means that we have easy access both to other cities and to fantastic countryside. Relocation expenses are available in line with University policy. 

The successful applicant will have a degree in Psychology and will have (or be close to completing) a PhD (or professional doctorate) in Psychology. If you are not already a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) then you will be required and supported to obtain this.
