Research Associate in Clinical Neuroscience, ARAS
- Based in the School of Psychology, Social Work and Social Policy located at Magill campus
- Full-time, three (3) year fixed term contract
- Salary range: $85,680 - $91,969 per annum (plus super)
About the Role
This newly created Research Associate position will contribute to the research relating to Drs Tobias Loetscher and Hannah Keage’s NHMRC Dementia Research Leadership Fellowships, within the Cognitive Ageing and Impairment Neuroscience (CAIN) laboratory facility, part of the Behaviour-Brain-Body Research Concentration. The role will work across several projects that are all aimed at predicting the presence and progression of cognitive impairment in late-life; activities span study development, experimental coding, data collection, to data processing and analysis.
Skills and Experience
A PhD qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. psychology, neuroscience, or engineering) is essential, as is experience in designing and coding psychological experimental studies. You will have the ability to analyse behavioural and neurophysiological data, using innovative methods, across multiple software packages, and an excellent research track record relative to opportunity. High level verbal and written communication skills, a strong statistical background and the ability to actively engage and supervise students will ensure success in the role.
