Job Description

The Assistant Director of Project Management will develop and oversee project plans, assuring that the entire portfolio of projects achieve the required business and technical objectives. Monitor project teams, identifying and mitigating project-related risks. Develop project estimates, timelines, and plans and provide ongoing oversight to ensure that tasks and deliverables are completed on time, within budget and within scope. Identify potential cost-savings and capitalize on interdependencies within project portfolio in order to maximize value of resource investments. Work closely with service partners and University stakeholders to ensure the coordination of services throughout the full project life cycle.

Required Skills

B.A. /B.S., or equivalent, five to eight years of experience leading marketing and design in an agency or higher education environment. Experience overseeing and directing the work of designers, developers, writers, photographers, and other team members. Personnel management skills, including the recruiting of talent and fostering of a highly productive studio culture essential. Superb time management and project management skills. Outstanding attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills. Requires flexibility and adaptability to new technology in a changing environment. Requires ability to prioritize multiple projects. Ability to work well under pressure and on high visibility projects. Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques, and tools is required. Previous experience managing web based projects utilizing technologies such as WordPress, PHP, and JavaScript required. Digital workflow such as InCopy experience a plus.
