This post is part time (14 hours per week) and fixed term for 18 months.
The Culture Durham Learning team is responsible for the development and delivery of the formal education and outreach programme to schools and lifelong learners from across the North East and beyond. Sessions are currently offered at a variety of University venues including the Oriental Museum, the Museum of Archaeology, Palace Green Library, the Botanic Garden and the Castle.
The postholder will be responsible for delivering sessions that make up our wide-ranging learning programme relating to the collections and buildings in the Culture Durham portfolio. In addition, the Learning Team delivers research skills training for sixth formers using the University Library. As part of the Learning Team, the postholder will also help with running family activities, visitor guiding and outreach work. You may also be asked to assist colleagues with other operational requirements such as security, special events and general support work.
