SINO-FOREST APPLIED RESEARCH CENTRE FOR PEARL RIVER DELTA ENVIRONMENT (SINO-FOREST ARCPE)

Sino-Forest ARCPE is an applied research centre in the Hong Kong Baptist University aiming at improving the environmental quality of the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region with major research focuses in environmental and waste management. More details on our research directions and engagements are available in our website http://arcpe.hkbu.edu.hk. The Centre is now seeking three suitable candidates to fill the following vacancies:

Research Associate / Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant (PR368/17-18)

The appointees are expected to participate in environmental education and waste management projects of the Centre including waste recycling industry survey and training programme, school green roof and low carbon education programme, and waste charging study.

Applicants should possess a Master's degree in environmental science, engineering, science or agriculture, with at least of four years of work experience. Those with postgraduate qualification, consultancy and community education experience would be advantageous. Applicants should also have good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, good communication skills and are willing to work in the field. Those with less qualifications and experience will be considered for the posts of Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. The appointees are expected to commence duty as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
