  • $81,184 - $89,635 pro rate plus 9.5% superannuation

The Victorian Autism Specific Early Learning and Care Centre (ASELCC) at La Trobe University is looking for a psychologist or behaviour analyst to join this innovative early intervention team.  We have a fantastic team of educators, allied health clinicians, researchers and families who work together to deliver Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) in an intensive, centre-based, naturalistic, group intervention program for young children (aged 1-4) with autism.

 About the role

We are seeking a psychologist or behaviour analyst who is keen to be part of this busy setting, who will embrace significant training opportunities and enjoy the hands-on nature of this role.

The person in this position will provide psychological and behavioural support services to young children with autism, consistent with the Centre’s research agenda and the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM).  The successful candidate will work within an innovative transdisciplinary team implementing ESDM, in the care and education of children (1 to 4 Years) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will be;

  • Experienced in developing and implementing functional behavior assessments and positive behavior support plans
  • Highly motivated to work directly with children and colleagues, and able to adapt to working within a childcare environment
  • Excited by training opportunities, innovation and evidence based practice
