Job Description

The Lead Designer is responsible for designing and overseeing production of various print, web site design, digital graphics and e-communications supporting the School's communications and marketing initiatives. This position is responsible for creating and producing high quality designs that are visually compelling materials that reflect the School's brand personality. The Designer will be responsible to consult and collaborate with key stakeholders on the objectives and audiences of the projects whether creating materials such as multiple page publications, newsletters and brochures; print advertising; web design, digital and print collateral products and electronic communications. The lead designer will provide guidance and recommendations to clients on the best platform to utilize for the end product ensuring all products produced are consistent with BU brand standards. The Lead Designer will regularly inform the Director of Communications and External Relations about various project design objectives, processes, and issues to ensure that there will be a high level of satisfaction with the products. Assist and train Communication Team Members with producing materials for client projects as needed.

Required Skills

Concept and design publications, newsletters, invitations, and other print collateral. Maintain and update the website and message screens. Assist with photography and photo editing as needed including an occasional night or weekend. Must know how to shoot basic video and edit in iMovie.
