The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST; see www.oist.jp) is a dynamic new graduate university of science and technology in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. Responsibilities 

  • work on the project “Associative learning and long-term memory in C. elegans” and will try to elucidate molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the processes.
  • present experimental results at domestic and international scientific meetings, and will write manuscripts on the work.

Qualifications

(Required) 

  • Ph.D. with strong interests in science and technology.(The appointee has been awarded a PhD within the past 5 years.)
  • English Conversation (Japanese skills do not matter)

Starting Date

On July 1, 2018

Term & Working Hours

Term: Full-time, fixed term appointment for 2 years with the possibility of renewal for up to a total of 3 years upon satisfactory progress.
Working hours: 9:00-17:30 (Discretionary)

Compensation in accordance with the OIST Employee Compensation Regulations
