Directorate Executive, Governance and Legal Services (EGLS) is a small, professional service based in the historic Trinity House building. The department is comprised of three interlinking teams Executive Services, Clerks Office and Legal Services. We are seeking to recruit an experienced solicitor to this key role within the institution's Executive, Governance and Legal Services Directorate, as the university continues to build upon its reputation in the sector as a dynamic, creative and forward thinking institution.

 You will report to and deputise for the Head of Legal Services and be responsible for the effective and efficient provision of legal advice to colleagues across the university. You will work with minimal supervision in a supportive environment building strong working relations with academics and business development partners. You will take a leading role in the cementing of strong links with particular faculties in the university gaining specialist knowledge of that area. 

You will possess a good understanding of the issues affecting the higher education sector, and demonstrable prior experience of performing similar roles. A strong eye for detail, an organised approach and impeccable communication skills are also essential.
