About the opportunity
The University of Sydney Business School is one of the Asia Pacific region’s premier centres for engaged and innovative business education and research. With a highly international outlook, we have over 400 staff and more than 13,400 students (9,700 EFTSL) from diverse backgrounds enrolled in a comprehensive suite of programs including the high-profile MBA.
Building on our strong alliances with industry, government and the not-for-profit sector, the Business School is pursuing an ambitious strategic direction as a thought-leader in the development of ethical, responsible and sustainable responses to emerging global business challenges.
An integral member of the School leadership team, the Associate Dean (Research) will leverage existing initiatives and develop new ones to implement the strategy of the School and University to increase research engagement and performance. This role offers a unique opportunity to build on existing world-class research performance whilst strengthening and broadening our School’s research footprint and culture of excellence.
With the ability to contribute to both School and whole-of-University decision-making, candidates will have outstanding research credentials and the collegial leadership qualities to engage and inspire others. They will also have the energy and ambition to drive a world-class research strategy that will further enhance the reputations of our School and our people.
Term and remuneration
The successful applicant will be offered a full-time fixed term position for a period of up to 5 years, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation and confirmation period for new appointees. The successful candidate will be offered an attractive remuneration package.
