Associate Producer, Morning Edition
This position is responsible for a variety of editorial tasks producing specific stories and segments in support of the production of the daily local four-hour program, 'Morning Edition (5am-9am Monday-Friday.) The Associate Producer, Morning Edition is responsible for much of the writing and production of local news stories for this four-hour daily program. The Associate Producer also oversees and executes the recording, researching and arranging of program elements -- while providing editorial and technical support to the Senior Producer, the writer and the host of Morning Edition. The Associate Producer, Morning Edition, works closely with the host in production of on-air segments, including editing taped interviews for air. The Morning Edition Associate Producer also acts as an assignment editor, identifying and pursuing news stories and news sources, conducting interviews, selecting sound bites and inserting them into stories. The Morning Edition Associate Producer also works with digital producers and editors and contributes to wbur.org and other digital platforms.
B.A./B.S., and three to five years of related experience in radio production. Must include cover letter in order to be considered.
