Overview

The Strategic Relationships Management (SRM) team manages the framework and practices to identify, develop and maintain mutually beneficial business, industry, government and community relationships across Edith Cowan University (ECU). Critical to the success of the SRM team is its ability to partner with internal ECU teams to promote and foster the adoption of the framework and to provide support to internal teams and stakeholders who manage key external relationships.

The position of Senior Account Manager is a newly created opportunity within the SRM team, working closely with the Manager, Strategic Relationships Management in the establishment of the Industry Relationship Management framework at ECU.

To be successful, you will be a strategic thinker with the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple Schools. The position also has line management responsibility for the Project Coordinator of the ECU Health Centre.

Key selection criteria includes the ability to:

  • Influence the decisions, actions or perceptions of others and create networks which foster a complementary mix of knowledge, skills and abilities, in order to achieve goals and to add value to the organisation
  • Develop plans and follow through with implementation to get results from planning efforts, including evaluating results 
  • Work collaboratively with the Office of Research and Innovation as required, on opportunities where there is potential for commercialisation
  • Balance and prioritise tasks without losing sight of desired outcomes and remaining proactive 
  • Work with a high degree of autonomy and take ownership of the task and the outcome

Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications within Health or STEMM disciplines and a strong understanding of the West Australian education sector will be highly regarded.

Benefits & Remuneration

This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $113,602 to $118,875 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
