  • $111,162 - $147,459 per annum plus 17% superannuation

About the role

La Trobe University is in the process of strengthening its regional capability in water research and is currently seeking research academics with expertise in the fields of hydrology and/or ecology of river, wetland or floodplain ecosystems. This is a rare opportunity for an exceptional research scientist to join a strong team of ecological researchers and play a key role in developing and leading new and collaborative research projects in their field of expertise.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role you will have completed a PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing, together with subsequent research experience. You will possess outstanding quantitative and analytical skills and hold a strong track record of conducting high quality research including research publications, experience in preparing research proposals and evidence of success in securing research funding. In addition you will have demonstrated the ability to build sustainable relationships with a range of industry partners and evidence of the ability to promote research links with outside organisations/agencies is essential.
