The Opportunity

The Faculty of Engineering is one of the largest in Australia, renowned worldwide for the quality and calibre of our teaching, research and graduates. We offer a comprehensive range of undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and higher degree by research programs in a wide range of engineering disciplines. Our research activities provide a platform for establishing a thriving educational enterprise and our staff are committed to creating a dynamic learning environment. The research activities range from fundamental studies to research with a strong applications orientation.

Chemical Engineering at Monash embraces challenges faced by society at the food-energy-water nexus, biotechnology, medicine, and sustainable processing. We are looking for individuals interested in taking advantage of the excellent multidisciplinary research environment at Monash University including opportunities such as the Monash Institute for Medical Engineering (MIME), Monash Infrastructure (MI), Monash Food Innovation Centre (MFIC), Melbourne Centre for Nanofabrication (MCN), Monash Energy Materials and Systems Institute (MEMSI), and Monash Sustainable Development Institute (MSDI). We are also located next to and collaborate with the Australian Synchrotron and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). We are also interested in academics interested in research on teaching and learning and its applications to curriculum development in chemical engineering and broad-based introductory first year engineering courses.
