Lecturer/Assistant Professor OR Associate Professor in Psychology
Permanent part-time (half-time - 0.5fte) post

Applications are invited for a half-time (0.5 FTE) permanent appointment as ‘Lecturer/Assistant Professor’ OR ‘Associate Professor’ in Psychology, at the UCD School of Psychology.  Applicants must have a PhD or doctorate in psychology, qualifications and experience in teaching others mindfulness-based skills for improving well-being, and teaching and research experience relevant to the School’s current research and teaching areas. The successful applicant will take a leadership role in directing and delivering the MSc in mindfulness based interventions, contribute to the school’s other graduate and undergraduate programmes, and conduct a research programme. 

UCD  is a dynamic research-intensive university that is at the forefront of research and teaching activities across a wide range of disciplines. The School has extensive interdisciplinary research links to a number of university teaching hospitals, (many of which are located close to the UCD campus in Belfield) and to the Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience.  We encourage applicants to familiarise themselves with the School’s areas of activity and identify how their own areas of research and teaching will complement or align with these.

Note:  It is envisaged interviews will take place on Monday 11th and/or Tuesday 12th June 2018 

95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) Salary Scale:  €52,325 - €82,267 per annum pro rata

Associate Professor Salary Scale:€67,983 to €94,966 per annum pro-rata *
Appointment will be made on the appropriate scale, and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines. 

 * Note:  The level of appointment will be determined by the ‘Selection Committee’ based on candidate’s relevant skills knowledge and experience
