The ANU College of Asia and the Pacific (CAP) leads intellectual engagement with the Asia-Pacific region through research, teaching and contributions to public debate, and seeks to set the international standard for scholarship concerning the region.
The Crawford School of Public Policy is the leading public policy school in the region and part of the global elite of public policy schools. The School’s approach to public policy draws upon disciplinary excellence in the core areas of economics, government, environment and development, and also deep geographical knowledge of Asia and the Pacific, including Australia. The School is located within the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific and is the University's gateway to public policy.
Crawford is embarking on the next phase of its evolution led by its Director, Professor Helen Sullivan. The School Manager will play a key role in leading change, working closely with the Director and her leadership team. The School Manager will provide leadership for the complex administrative operations of the School, strategic advice to the Director and direction to other senior staff in relation to finance and human resources, international and national recruitment; marketing and communications; and engagement with government, business and community sector stakeholders; while contributing significantly to College and University level planning.
The School Manager will have extensive demonstrated experience in management in a comparable institution, as well as the demonstrated ability to lead a large and complex organisational unit. You will also have a strong track record in the supervision of senior staff and capacity to build and lead teams. This important strategic and operational position will also require excellent interpersonal and communication skills, matched by high level analytical and problem-solving abilities.
