The University of Central Lancashire has an ambition to develop its campus in Burnley to 4,000 students by 2025 by offering a broad portfolio of courses focusing on health and social care, degree apprenticeships and the social sciences.

We are seeking an experienced individual to lead the delivery of an exceptional student experience across the student lifecycle supporting high levels of student progression, satisfaction and attainment.

The individual will also lead the development of a research culture at the Campus, including support for early career researchers and doctoral students, contribution to the Research Excellence Framework and achieving research funding targets.

With significant experience of developing strategy, forming and implementing policy, the successful applicant will have a proven record of academic leadership, vision and management relevant to HE. You will have the ability to motivate staff with strong people development capacity and a pro-active approach. Utilising excellent communication skills, you will be able to operate successfully in a structured yet complex and challenging environment.

Educated to postgraduate level, with a doctorate or equivalent, you will have highly developed interpersonal skills which will allow you to establish and maintain credibility, confidence and trust from a variety of stakeholders.
