Trinity College, the University of Melbourne comprises a co-educational Residential College, Theological School and Pathways Schools incorporating a sizeable Foundation Studies and Young Leaders programs. Foundation Studies is an award-winning program that prepares over 2,000 overseas students for entry into the University of Melbourne, and other leading Australian Universities. The program equips students with the intellectual, linguistic and cultural skills necessary for success at University. 

The College invites applications to the Student Services team for the position of Student Counsellor, Pathways School. The Student Counsellor is responsible for the provision of confidential psychological counselling, and community development activities, within a program of delivery structure determined by the management of Trinity College.  The counselling role has as its principal focus the initial assessment and provision of psychological counselling to students.  

The successful applicant will have a degree in Psychology or Social Work/Mental Health followed by the full completion of a relevant post-graduate degree at Masters level or above in a field directly linked to the provision of therapeutic counselling services.  In addition, they will also have significant experience working in an educational context or in counselling young people from diverse cultural backgrounds and will have full registration with APHRA to practise and membership or eligibility for membership to AASW or APS.  

Salary Range: Band Level 4 - FTE $78,464 - $90,761 plus 10% Superannuation and 17.5% leave loading.
