The University of Bath is seeking an exceptional leader for the post of Vice-Chancellor and President. With strong values of excellence in higher education, public service, integrity and commitment to developing people from all backgrounds, Bath’s new Vice-Chancellor will lead, shape and nurture a dynamic, diverse community to new levels of success.

As a top 10 UK university with a world-leading reputation for research and teaching excellence, Bath’s distinction and individuality is well recognised. Fifty years of achievement have seen the University grow into a globally recognised institution with over 17,000 students from 130 countries. In this current year the University has been recognised with Gold TEF status, been ranked as 4th out of 122 institutions for student experience in 2018 and been awarded the title of Sport University of the Year 2018. The University is a touchstone for the practical, social and economic impacts of research, as well as being known for its overtly inter-disciplinary approach. Strong candidates will demonstrate a keen affinity with Bath’s commitment to international levels of excellence in higher education. They will also espouse a strong dedication to inclusion, integrity and high personal standards of accountability, justice and fairness. The ability to lead a complex organisation will be crucial and the candidate will need to effectively communicate a global strategic vision for the University, as well as have the capacity to lead and inspire Bath’s collective staff and student community.
