We are seeking a new Pro Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean of the College of Social Sciences and International Studies to enable our community of scholars to be globally engaged and internationally recognised and help Exeter establish itself as a world-leading institution.

Students on courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional levels benefit from a flexible, modular design and the College and wider University’s interdisciplinary culture. The next Pro Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean will be a scholar of international standing with the leadership capability to successfully guide the College on its five-year strategy, built around three overarching goals: securing the excellence of the educational experience; building and extending research strengths to achieve greater intensity and research power; and ensuring global engagement in everything we do. You will also have proven experience developing a strong culture within a complex organisation. As a Member of the Vice-Chancellor’s Executive Group and reporting to the Provost, you will also play a major role in the development and implementation of University-wide strategy and will be expected to promote the College and University to a variety of strategic partners, regionally, nationally and internationally.
