About the job

This position is responsible for the provision of excellent client service delivery to internal and external customers of the University. This is a leadership role within the team that responds to client needs and operates with a strong team focus.

The position is responsible for coordinating the efficient delivery of all aspects of graduations, including coordination of awards for students, graduation ceremony venues, staffing, non-standard graduations, and award mail outs. In addition the role is responsible for supervising staff, review of ongoing process improvements and effective implementation to support streamlined and efficient service delivery.

The role also contributes to the efficient, effective and timely delivery of a range of functions provided by the Scholarships, Prizes and Graduations as well as the broader Student Administration and Library Services teams. 

The incumbent will be required to work flexibly across Student Administration and Library Services to support operational needs, enable efficiencies, apply and maintain consistent work practices. 

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and /or educational training.
  • Experience in the provision of high quality events within a demanding client focused and deadline driven environment.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with experience in relating effectively to people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, including the ability to supervise team members.
