As part of our expansion, we are recruiting for a Lecturer in Fine Art and Photography (Moving Image, Installation, and Performance). We are looking for an exceptional individual with a practice-led background in visual art practice to join our team and work across the Fine Art and Photography programmes. The individual will have technical and conceptual expertise in the areas of fine art and photography.
In addition the following skills are required -
- Moving image capture (using DSLR cameras and video cameras),
- moving image/video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro,
- specialist sound recording and editing using software such as Adobe Audition CC,
- experience of installation/large-scale projection.
As part of this role, you will contribute to both the teaching of studio-based practice and contextual studies modules, encouraging the development of cross-disciplinary exchanges based on a range of multimedial and intermedial experiences of artistic production. The individual will inspire new creative strands within the curriculum by instigating a multimedial dialogue within existing fine art, visual art and contextual studies modules, thus contributing to an existing innovative curriculum which unfolds within the context of interdisciplinary and the wider evolving contemporary visual arts landscape. Candidates must have undertaken both practice based research and have experience of teaching moving image making, video installation and/or performance.
