Job Description

The Project Manager (PM2) is responsible for managing the execution of medium to large projects through the full project lifecycle. These projects will typically be focused on systems infrastructure, both on-premise and in the cloud across Boston University. The Project Manager manages the project team and is accountable for delivering committed scope, on-time and within budget. The Project Manager reports on status of projects to the project sponsor/steering committee, manages risks and issues, and ensures good communication within the team and with client stakeholders. Additionally, the Project Manager may need to fulfill Business Analysis responsibilities for some projects. Experience with Infrastructure Projects, particularly systems and storage both on-premise and in the cloud. Experience working with a project management methodology and lifecycle important. Experience eliciting and documenting business requirements important. PMP Certifications a plus, not a must. Higher Education or Research experience a plus, not a must. ITIL Certification a plus, not a must.

Required Skills

B.A. / B.S., five to eight years experience. Strong communication skills both verbal and written are critical for this position. Proficiency in MS tools - Word, Excel, MS Project, Visio and Powerpoint required.
