Centre Support Officer
We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic individual to join our team.
The Centre for SME Development is a gateway for SMEs to access the range of support on offer from the university to help their business to grow.
The Centre facilitates knowledge exchange, networking and delivers projects and initiatives that provide value and support the business engagement agenda. The Centre supports colleagues to access the business community and champions the student and graduate and research agendas.
The successful applicant will have experience of working within a busy office in a role that requires high levels of planning, organising and prioritising skills. You will also be expected to play an active part in the implementation of the Centre strategy. A great team player with a high level of self-motivation, you will have the ability to work unsupervised exercising your judgement and initiative to find the best way forward.
As Centre Support Officer, you will be a vital part of the Centre team. The role requires working closely with colleagues and external stakeholders to maximise the value in engaging with the Centre to the business, student and UCLan communities. The post holder will be the first port of call for businesses contacting UCLan through the Centre for SME enquiry line and email account. Customer centric in your approach, you will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be an exceptional organiser and produce high quality and accurate work.
The role is varied and multi-disciplined with elements of project management, marketing, event planning, first line support and administration. This will include; organising events/ workshops, liaising with internal and external stakeholders (representing the Centre when required), project managing the rollout of Centre initiatives and small-scale projects and supporting the delivery of the Centre strategy.

Core opening hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexible working where possible.
