Student Recruitment Enquiries Team Leader
The University of Central Lancashire is looking for a passionate and committed Student Recruitment Enquiries Team Leader to deliver a comprehensive, customer centric enquiries function, including inbound and outbound channels. The successful candidate will bring together the existing Course Enquiries function with the Peer-to-Peer Call Centre to form a new function and to implement new communication channels. Working closely with colleagues across the Student Recruitment department, they will develop and implement systems and processes to underpin this function, to drive the conversion of enquiries to enrolments.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing customer facing teams, utilising CRM systems and a commitment to continuous improvement.

This role would suit an individual who is already working in sales/business development or student recruitment roles, can work effectively unsupervised on their own initiative, has strong management skills and a firm grasp of effectively managing budgets.
The position is based in our Preston campus but will cover surrounding regions.

Aerospace Engineering, Pharmacy and many others are added as sector needs are identified.
The UK Student Recruitment team is part of the broader Student Recruitment & Partnerships Service, which was only recently formed to bring together both the International and UK/EU recruitment, admissions and partnership functions to ensure a high quality, consistent experience for all applicant groups. The Service includes the following teams:

4. UK and International Partnerships
The Student Recruitment team has a focus on attracting and retaining quality applicants from first point of enquiry through to enrolment and we work very closely with our academic colleagues in Faculties, and other professional service departments, to ensure our offering is fit for purpose to encourage the greatest level of interest possible for UCLan's recruitment efforts.
The team comprises four teams covering student recruitment, enquiries and conversion and product marketing.
The team's vision is to be customer-focussed and consistently striving to exceed our enquirers' and applicants' expectations. We aim to provide an overwhelmingly positive, consistent and high quality experience to support enquirers and applicants in their journey to UCLan and that we are positioned as the first choice University for potential applicants.
The UK Student Recruitment team is responsible for increasing the quality and quantity of undergraduate and postgraduate applications to UCLan with a key focus on effective relationship building, and account management/development of our key feeder schools and colleges. The applicant experience is also key to ultimately ensure a smooth and efficient application process to support the conversion of applicants to become successfully enrolled students in order to meet the University's recruitment objectives and income targets.
The team develops and delivers a variety of recruitment events and activities designed to influence a range of different key groups including: mature students returning to education post 21 years old; Sixth Form or College students; school pupils; teachers, parents and key influencers; and undergraduate and postgraduate enquirers and applicants.
Areas of work:
- A key aspect of the team's work is the effective account management (schools and colleges liaison) with key contacts in targeted schools and colleges.
- On-campus activities including; open days, bespoke feeder visits, campus tours, Master classes/subject sessions. This is an area we are keen to develop and are always looking for ways to differentiate from the competition.
- Targeting teachers and advisors including the organisation and delivery of the UCLan Teachers and Advisors Annual Conference.
- Younger age activities to drive up awareness of UCLan's offering at targeted secondary schools to ensure a strong pipeline through to our key accounts.
- Off-campus recruitment exhibitions including UCAS conventions and College/Sixth Form higher education fairs.
- Product marketing and campaigns.
- Postgraduate and part-time recruitment activity including PG exhibitions, open evenings and on-campus activity for current undergraduate students.
- Development and implementation of conversion strategies.
