Lecturer in Anatomy
The School wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Anatomy to join our innovative team teaching anatomy using non-cadaveric methods with an emphasis on integration with medical imaging, surface anatomy, clinical skills and anatomy in a clinical context. Such anatomy is used for a range of programmes throughout the school including the BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences, the Foundation Medical Sciences, MBBS, Physician's Associates programmes and other post graduate programs and summer schools.
Working within a committed and enthusiastic team you will focus primarily on teaching programmes in the School of Medicine including the MBBS, the BSc Medical Sciences, the Foundation Medical Sciences and the Physician Associates programmes. You will contribute to the areas of course delivery and assessment in Anatomy within the School of Medicine.
You will hold a PhD in Anatomy or other higher degree in a relevant area.
Experience of teaching Anatomy within Higher Education is essential, along with experience of developing teaching and learning resources for this area and of delivering student assessments. You will have a commitment to continued professional development and of the University's strategy and values.
You must possess excellent communication and presentation skills; have an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and maintain good working relationships with other healthcare professions and NHS partners.
