About The Faculty of Arts, ACADEMIC SUPPORT OFFICE

The Faculty of Arts’ mission is to support world-class teaching, learning, research and knowledge transfer through leadership, innovation and quality in information and education services, systems and technologies.

The Academic Support Office (ASO) supports the development, delivery and quality assurance of teaching and learning activities. The ASO manages essential functions in the following key areas: selection, scholarships, undergraduate and graduate coursework and graduate research programs, student enrichment and eTeaching and eResearch.

About the role

The Manager of Curriculum Delivery Support will provide effective management, leadership and expert advice in the successful operation and organisation of the Faculty’s support for the delivery of its undergraduate and graduate programs, including for the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Arts (Extended), the Diploma in Languages, BA Honours, Masters by Coursework and Graduate Research.  The role will work closely with the relevant Directors, Associate Deans, Program Coordinators and Academic Services (University Services).

Through the leadership of the team, the role will be continuously enhancing the efficiency of a broad range of activities, building a high level of awareness of wider University policies and procedures amongst our academic staff and ensuring team members work collaboratively across the Faculty to provide high quality teaching and learning support.

About you - skills and attributes will be highly regarded:

  • Tertiary qualifications with relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of extensive relevant experience and/or education
  • Understands the teaching environment, and current factors affecting student’s engagement, & higher education
  • Ability to use initiative and responsiveness in planning and developing new ideas and approaches to ensure organisational objectives are achieved
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral and demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Strong management skills and experience
  • Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage competing responsibilities
