Teacher, School of Education, Curriculum and Teaching
Provide for the health, safety, development and learning of young children by following the state regulations and applying principles of early childhood education, to include planning and implementing integrated curriculum activities in math, science, language, literacy, music, art, and scaffolding the emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development and learning. Plan children's daily schedule to include large group, small group, and individual learning activities, units of inquiry and documented curriculum plans are used for future analysis and to serve as exemplars in Early Childhood Education. Demonstrate child guidance strategies, classroom management techniques, and effective interactions with young children to include those with special needs and English language learners. Guide to pre-practicum students in the classroom as they endeavor to apply theory to practice in daily fieldwork and conduct daily morning briefings of day's teachingteam.
B.A./B.S., and one to three years of experience. This is a ten-month position, September through June. This position is contingent upon funding.
