Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Executive, Online and Special Initiatives, the Associate Director is a major contributor to the development, growth, and administration of the Schools executive, online and special programs, including the Executive LL.M. in International Business Law program (ELLM), the Legal English Certificate Program (LECP), and other initiatives that further LAWs strategic priorities, including summer and customized executive programming. A key member of the graduate programs admissions team, the Associate Director advises individual students on academic matters, and plans and implements cross-program academic support initiatives for the schools non-J.D. population. Serves as primary project manager for planning, launching, and administering additional new programs.

Required Skills

J.D or degree in law strongly preferred. Masters in higher education management, linguistics, education or business desirable. Minimum of three years administrative experience in academic or related field required. Must have quantifiable experience in project or program management, as well as ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail and strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to perform job responsibilities with a minimum of supervision. Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite is required, as is experience with budgeting and expense tracking. Experience working with international student populations, professionals, law or graduate law students preferred, as is a background in foreign language study, ESL, or related fields. Experience with distance learning/educational technology, marketing or partnership management is strongly preferred.
