In the York Business School, we have developed an in-depth range of programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, with a focus on preparing students for professional careers. Fundamental to our ethos is developing the individual and working closely with the business community. York Business School is developing its teaching and research profile and has seen a significant growth in provision. As part of our expansion, we are recruiting for a Lecturer in Events and Experience Management.

The successful candidate will be qualified to Masters level with experience of working in the events industry. You will need to demonstrate expertise in the area of Events coupled with teaching experience at higher education level with evidence of successful student learning outcomes. You should be able to evidence lecturing experience in subjects such as Event Planning and Development and Event Impact, Legacies and Regeneration. The ability to teach areas such as hospitality management or tourism and / or to be able to contribute to other areas of provision would be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the research profile of York Business School, including the development of research capacity amongst undergraduate and postgraduate students.

At Lecturer level, you will be expected to be developing a strong record of research, teaching, and curriculum design or demonstrate potential for this.
