Based in Dunedin, the School of Physiotherapy at the University of Otago has a long-standing international reputation as a leader in education, research, and clinical practice.

We focus on the assessment, treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction, and on the promotion of health for all, across the lifespan.

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in the area of Neurorehabilitation. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the research activities of the School, through publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
  • Obtaining external funding support.
  • Supervising research students.
  • Mentoring research staff.

You will also teach undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy students and develop teaching materials and assessment of student performance.

Your Skills and Experience

You must be a physiotherapist eligible for registration in New Zealand, with relevant neuromuscular experience and hold a doctoral degree.

A current Annual Practicing Certificate is also a must.

Further Details

This is a confirmation path position, with confirmation of appointment after five years subject to satisfactory performance.

The expected start date for this role is January 2019.
