The College of Business comprises six schools delivering a broad range of programs, ranging from certificates to PHD levels. RMIT Business programs are delivered in Melbourne, Vietnam, Singapore, Shanghai and Jakarta, as well as through Open Universities Australia (OUA) and RMIT Online. The College has an annual budget in excess of $200 million, employs over 475 staff and delivers programs to approximately 34,000 students.
The College is located on RMIT University's City Campus and resides in the state of the art Swanston Academic Building and Emily McPherson building.
The Role and Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Deputy PVC International, the Project Manager plays a vital role in helping the College of Business to deliver international higher education outcomes in new and existing global markets. Your advanced skills in project planning and implementation will enable you to contribute to the end-to-end delivery of large, complex international projects. Also critical to this role is the ability to undertake research and data analysis and prepare detailed business cases on matters of strategic and operational importance. This role will require strong internal and external engagement with stakeholders locally and internationally. In fulfilling these responsibilities, you will play a key role in supporting the Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor International to realise international opportunities and contribute to the reputation and financial health of RMIT University.
Skills & Experience Required
The successful candidate will be a commercially driven project manager with a proven track record in leading complex projects with an international dimension. An understanding of higher education, including credit pathways, student mobility and executive education, as well as a sophisticated knowledge of Asian markets would be highly advantageous.
You will coordinate international initiatives from conception through to completion, by providing strategic support and advice. Your outstanding interpersonal and communication skills will enable successful collaborations with key internal and external stakeholders. This key role will require proven problem solving, independence, judgement and initiative.
