Leverage your extensive experience in Retail Meat Processing/Butchery to deliver competency-based training to the CDU students
The Charles Darwin University (CDU) Vocational Education and Training (VET) Faculty is responsible for the planning, delivery and reporting of government subsidised and fee for service training and assessment to approximately 14,000 students across the Northern Territory.
Operating within the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Service Industries, the Culinary Arts Team provides nationally recognised accredited training in Certificate I to Certificate IV qualifications in Commercial Cookery, Bakery and Retail Meat and Butchery.
As the VET Lecturer/Workplace Assessor – Retail Meat Processing and Butchery you are responsible for delivering training whilst working under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) Quality Framework and to the competency standards of the Retail Meat and Butchery Training Package. You are also expected to contribute to growing the teaching business and anticipate and respond to industry training requirements.
To be successful you require a Trade qualification (Certificate III or higher) and relevant post trade experience in Retail Meat Processing/Butchery as well as a current qualification equivalent to a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or its successor).
