The Aston Logistics and Systems Institute is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to work with industry in the Marches region on various projects supporting agri-tech. The post is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
You will be working with colleagues with expertise in a range of supply chain domains (including purchasing, logistics and production operations). This is an opportunity to become a member of a vibrant team with a successful track record. It is a particularly exciting time as the group is extending its research activities in a number of areas, including supporting the food and agri-tech industries.
You should have a PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant subject. Exceptionally, candidates with a strong BSc and MSc or equivalent in these fields may be considered. Preference will be given to applicants with a proven expertise and a good research record. Previous work experience in industry would be advantageous. The ability to both conduct independent research and to work effectively as a member of a team is essential. The level of appointment will depend on the qualifications and relevant experience of the successful applicants.
