The University of Canberra is seeking a Research Associate to join their Centre for Deliberative Democracy and Global Governance. The Centre was awarded an Australian Research Council (ARC) grant for the project A Metastudy of Democratic Deliberation which aims to develop a leading-edge understanding of political deliberation by synthesising the relevant research. As part of a research team including Dr Simon Niemeyer, Prof John Dryzek and Dr Nicole Curato and international partners, you will be required to gather, organise and assist with analysis of case data using a mix of qualitative content and quantitative analysis. The role will provide you with the opportunity to develop project management skills and liaise with partner organisations. 

An interest in democratic theory and empirical political studies as well as skills in data management are important skills. For level B position, you will have a relevant PhD. As a team player, your ability to communicate and influence various levels of stakeholders will be critical to the success of this role.
