Lecturer - The Department of Computer Science
Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, to commence on September 1, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
The Department of Computer Science is a forward-looking Department committed to playing a leading role in the software and information technology initiative in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. It offers programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and has excellent computing resources, well-equipped teaching and research facilities and support. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and a minimum of two years’ teaching experience in tertiary institutions. Preference will be given to those who have experience, a good record and commitment in teaching Computer Science courses. The appointee will play a key role in the Department’s teaching team. He/She is expected to provide high-quality teaching, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Computer Science, undertake projects on pedagogical innovations, curriculum enhancement and knowledge exchange. He/She will also be required to support various administrative services.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
