Residential Life Adviser

‘Promoting health, wellbeing and inclusive communities’
The University of Bristol is offering exciting new opportunities for part time (weekend) working as part of our newly created Residential Life Teams offering support to mainly first year undergraduate students. As part of a team you will be responsible for providing around the clock support for inclusive community building, events and activities, as well as proactively supporting and responding to concerns about student wellbeing in one of three student villages.

As well as an excellent remuneration package the university will offer extensive training across a range of areas as well as opportunities for personal and career development.

You will have worked previously in an advice or support capacity ideally with young people. You will be a team player able to provide leadership and a role model in delivering a high-quality service, as well as enjoying the challenge of working independently to solve problems. Above all you will relish change and a working life that provides variety and enrichment at every turn, whether it be devising and implementing community building events or supporting an individual student through a difficult time. Experience of using a wide range of IT applications is also required.

Further information on student support in residences can be found at  https://www.bristol.ac.uk/students/wellbeing/student-life/review-of-support-in-residences/

The closing date for applications is Sunday 22 April. The selection process will be held shortly after this date.

The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
