Under broad direction, the Senior Contracts Officer (Research) is responsible for providing research contract administration and management services to Flinders University researchers. This includes working closely with researchers in the preparation, review, and negotiation of various types of standard form research contracts; research project variations; confidentiality agreements for research purposes and IP sharing with external parties; memorandum of understanding with industry or other research institutions; material transfer agreements, multi-institutional agreements and subcontracting arrangements with government, industry, other research institutions.
This position is a key liaison between the Flinders University Integrity Legal and Risk Division, Research Development and Support Division and researchers and will be a point of contact for general legal advice, construction of research project schedules and budgets to fulfil funding conditions, contract administration advice and researcher education and support. In addition, the Senior Contracts Officer (Research) is responsible for prioritising and assigning requests for research related contracts and agreements to other members of the Contracts Team.
