The Research & Innovation Portfolio oversees research and research training across the University through the development and implementation of RMIT University's strategic research priorities and managing research systems and reporting requirements. The Portfolio supports the research activity of staff and student researchers with professional development, collaboration and funding opportunities, ethics and responsible conduct compliance, contract development, intellectual property, project completions and profiling.

The Role and Your Responsibilities

The Administrative Officer, Research Office is a member of the Research Operations and Support team within the Research and Innovation Portfolio. The primary focus of the role is to provide high level administrative and operational support to the Portfolio.

You will be responsible for the efficient administration of OHS & Well-being activities, monitoring and maintaining Portfolio resources, maintenance and coordination of property projects, providing executive support and diary management (where needed), and general administrative support within the team.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant work experience. You will be highly motivated and have demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise work, and be able to manage a number of competing tasks and meet critical deadlines.

You will have excellent attention to detail and have proven initiative and problem solving skills. Your high level interpersonal and communication skills will be essential to your success in this role.
