About the role

Working with the team in Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (Osteopathic Studies) and with the Group Lead of Allied Health and Midwifery, the Professional Experience Unit and members of the allied health teams and industry partners, the Associate Lecturer in Osteopathy will deliver a high standard of innovative, learner-centred undergraduate education.

A key element of the role is liaison between clinical facilities and the University to ensure the continued quality and growth of placement opportunities for students, and the design and delivery of orientation and support programs for clinical teachers, clinical facilitators and/or fieldwork supervisors.

Acting as a point of contact for clinical teachers and clinical facilitators this role involves monitoring student progress whilst on placement and providing guidance on assessment and support for students.

The applicant is expected to maintain professional engagement and participate in scholarship related to clinical placement education and student learning.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have completed a Master level qualification and hold current registration with the Osteopathy Board of Australia, or be eligible to register.

You will draw on your previous experience working with osteopathic students in a clinical setting to demonstrate your knowledge of professional competency standards, quality assurance processes and a commitment to clinical education.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to successfully contribute to the clinical team environment and student experience.
